My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake has totally changed with the love and care of his foster mom and is now a friendly, outgoing little man. He loves to meet new people but enjoys the company of his own people above all else. He is fine with other dogs and cats and especially enjoys children. Jake is just turning four years old and is the step-brother to Peanut who is also posted for adoption.


Jake was sent to the groomers where he had no issues and returned a new man. We believe all the extra hair pulling was causing him to be most uncomfortable but now he is feeling 100 percent better and it shows in his demeanor. He is much more light hearted and enjoys cuddles and lots of pets.


Jake is a charming, lively and happy little dog. He is pleasant, loving and intelligent. Affectionate and devoted to his people. Jake loves everyone he is familiar with but can be reserved around strangers or in unfamiliar situations. He likes cuddles and to be petted but children would need to understand that they need to be nice and gentle with him.


Jake has a mind of his own and likes to be the centre of attention. He is sensitive, agile, dainty and likes to be clean. He does best with routine and consistency in his daily life.


Jake would enjoy being the only dog in the home but is fine with other dogs and cats. He would do best with older children or in an adult only home. He enjoys going for walks and having a back yard to play in.
