I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Crystal came from a tough life - she was born into a feral community and lived there until she as about 5 yrs old. ARC took her as part of a TNR program and socialized her. Initially timid, when she comes to know you, she is extremely loving and desires attention. She will come when called and snuggle in your arms or on your lap. However, because of her timidity we are recommending a calm home that recognizes she will need time to adjust. Crystal has become friends with our teenage volunteer, so an older, caring teen would be ok but young children would be too intimidating for her. Dogs would be variable, depending on the dog's behavior. If your cat is sociable with other cats, she loves them! Crystal uses her litterbox reliably and also uses her vertical and horizontal scratching posts.
ARC is a non-profit, no-kill pet adoption organization. Our goal is to find caring forever homes for the animals, with an emphasis on owner education and pet behavioral support. We believe that when owners understand a pet's behavior (evolutionary and history), they can then understand and are more likely to follow appropriate training and everyday care.

Our Adoption Process...
ARC requires an application which include a matching form so we can discuss with you the type of pet you want for your lifestyle and which pets would best be suited for your home.
We prefer that all family members come over to meet the pet so everyone is comfortable with their new family member and to answer any questions you might have. ARC provides free behavioral support for the lifetime of the adopted pet.
A contract and a $50 tax-deductible donation is required. If you cannot keep the pet, it must be returned to ARC, regardless of pet's age.
Pets are inside companion animals and cats that have claws may not be declawed.
