Thomas's Story...
Thomas is a beautiful medium/long haired gray/white domestic/Scottish Fold mix who was rescued from the high kill Tipton County Animal Shelter the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. How this adorable fellow ended up in the shelter is beyond us! Thomas became a firm favorite with the staff at the shelter and he stayed for longer than many do... he stole everyone's hearts and as soon as our rescue had space open, we were able to bring him into a foster home.

Thomas is thriving in his foster home where he is around young children, dogs and other cats. He does exceptionally well with children and adults alike, and was very friendly to the other dogs and cats in the foster home, despite their displeasure at his arrival (which quickly settled down!). We think that he lived on "the streets" for at least part of his life, as he is a little possessive of his food. He's not aggressive at all but is guarded around his food bowl and who can blame him! Thomas is fully vetted, HIV/FIV negative, neutered and his adoption fee is $75.00.

Thomas is going to make a special family or individual very happy to have such a cool cat! If you have any questions or would like to arrange to meet Thomas please contact lesleyreid@gmail.com. Thanks!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
New Beginnings Animal Rescue was established in 2011 in an effort to help reduce overcrowding in the local (Tennessee and Mississippi) shelters. We have begun working with a coordinator in New England and began transporting dogs for adoption to MA, RI, CT, VT and NH in August of 2012.
Our organization also aims to promote the importance of spay/neuter to the public. We are a non-profit group whose sole source of funding is donations from the public. We are all volunteers who foster animals in our homes and are always in need of more volunteers. There are so many abandoned, abused, discarded pets that need our help, and there is never enough space or money to help them all.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thomas, a Olive Branch Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Olive Branch, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Olive Branch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olive Branch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olive Branch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olive Branch paves the way for another one to be saved.
