OSCAR's Story...
Hi my name is Oscar. I am a 6 week old male Bernese Mountain Dog mix. HNH rescued me along with my litter mates from a High Kill Shelter on our last day. I am not ready to go to my forever home yet but will be after Thanksgiving. Oscar will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. He is currently being fostered in Simi Valley, CA. We recommend adopters enroll young pups in puppy training classes so that they will be the adult dog you want. Contact Lorna at for an application. Adoption/Donation fee and home inspection required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

OSCAR, a Torrance Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler puppy from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
