Danny Stedman, NC Adopted!'s Story...
I am one very happy guy. I just got adopted to the foster family who I dearly love. My name is Danny and I am a 3 year old, red and white cocker boy. I was picked up as a stray by animal control in NC quite a distance away from this rescue and taken to a shelter. The staff contacted CCR so that I would have a chance to find a good home. I have been to the CCR vet and I was treated for fleas and ticks. I have also been updated on shots, groomed, neutered and I am heartworm negative, so I am a healthy boy. I came here a nice, somewhat shy, skinny boy, but now that I am being fed and taken care of properly, I am a happy, good looking cocker. I am a friendly boy and I love to be with my human companion once I get to know you. I was doing really well here at the rescue running around with all my cocker and corgi pals, and I had even met the cat who lives here and she was ok with me. But, I do not seem to do well with unknown dogs, so these nice CCR folks have found me a great foster home, where I will have a chance to experience different things and they will learn more about how I really am. Just recently I met this family with a teen girl and a younger boy and CCR found out that maybe I will need to be adopted into a family with teen children or adults only, as I did not do well with someone smothering me with hugs and then bending over me, or any fast unexpected movements. And, now that I am being fostered, hopefully I will soon be a little better with everything, as I am doing really well running around with my new foster siblings and my foster daddy. I am having a great time here, but I am still hoping to find a home of my own and someone to love me for the special boy that I am. Maybe you have a nicely fenced yard so that I can go outside and play on a nice day and then I can come back inside and rest in my very own doggie bed or I could just curl up next to you on the sofa when I am tired and fall asleep next to you. If you would like a new best friend and a favorite companion to share your life with . . . I would love to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Danny Stedman, NC Adopted!, a Kannapolis Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Kannapolis, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Kannapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kannapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kannapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kannapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
