Reeta's Story...

Hi everyone! My name is Reeta and I am a female 2 ½ to 3 year old brown and white tabby. I was found as a little kitten in the parking lot of Rita’s Water Ice in SW Phila. I came up to a volunteer starving and meowing for attention. The employees said that I had been there almost an entire week with everyone just ignoring me like I wasn’t even there, so the volunteer decided that I needed to go home with her. After receiving some food and TLC, I turned out to be a cute, friendly but feisty girl who loves to play and chase the other foster kitties around the house. I do like to snuggle, but on my terms, and am not generally known as a lap cat. I love to play, but because I can play a little rough, I probably would not be good in a home with smaller children. I also have never been around dogs before, so living with one would be an unknown. I do come when called and will carry on a conversation with you if you start talking to me. If you would like to be my lifelong playmate, please fill out an adoption application for me or if you have any questions about me, please email KittyJunction@aol.com!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reeta, a Horsham American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Horsham, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Horsham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Horsham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Horsham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Horsham paves the way for another one to be saved.
