CHISMA's Story...
Meet our sweet and adorable Chisma! She is a darling, gentle, loving puppy!

Chisma is possibly a border collie mix, we aren't sure because she was brought in to AWARE as a rescue, abandoned and left wandering around on her own scrounging for food. The poor thing was so sick and skinny, but the wonderful staff at AWARE took great care of her, giving her lots of love and helping her become the wonderful little puppy that she is today.

Chisma is about 4 months old and about 12 lbs. Her adult weight is guesstimated at 40-50 lbs.

We have an adoption application we need for you to fill out before meeting Chisma. Chisma is in Guatemala right now and we are planning on bringing her up next week. Our puppies go fast, most are adopted before they get here. If you would like to meet Chisma, please email to request an application for pre-approval. We are a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHISMA, a San Francisco Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
