Kandi's Story...

Hello! My name is Kandi. I got that name because I am so sweet. I find myself looking for a new home because the dominant cat that lived with us passed away in May, and since then I have been bullied and beat on by the other cat that lives in the house. Plus, my family just had a new baby and sadly I am feeling really stressed out with all the changes. I have tried to accept the new baby but know it is just not for me. And they might even have another screaming kid! They have been a great family to live with but they know that I would be happier elsewhere and they love me enough to let me go. I am very shy and I scare easily but once you get to know me I can be extremely affectionate. I am a lap cat, so don't think you're going to be watching TV alone. I also don't like to sleep alone, so move over because I would like to curl up and sleep next to you. I am looking for a nice quiet home with no other cats, dogs, or children. I like to have a perch so that I can look out the window as I don't go outside. I am an adult kitty, but you wouldn't know it because I am very healthy and I still love to chase strings, feathers and little toy mice. Once you get to know me, I am the best companion and will always greet you when you come home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kandi, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
