Rocky's Story...
You win some you lose some. And it looks like lady luck hasn't been on my side thus far. I am still real young though, so maybe you just hit the jackpot! You see by adopting me, you can train me and help sculpt me into the dog of your dreams! Am I good with kids? Heck yes, I am one myself! Am I good with cats? Well I haven’t really been around them, so if they treat me nice I’ll get along fine! Yup I am pretty much puppy Play-doh! So however you mold me is the dog I will be. It will take lots of patience and understanding, but you will have a winning hand buddy, you can bet on that! 9 weeks old-12lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes; neuter, rebate microchip, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
