My story

Hi. My name’s Lily and I’m as sweet as my name implies. You can see from my pictures that I am absolutely adorable. I’m a Yorkie and Shih Tzu mix, five years old, weigh about ten pounds and I have been spayed and micro-chipped.

I came from a puppy mill where I was caged and having puppies. My foster parents have been taking me for lots of walks, which I love, to help me lose a bit of weight, but I’m perfectly healthy. I get more playful every day. I’m a chow hound and supper time is my favourite. There’s a cat here too, but we get along, and will actually share a lap! When the grandkids visit, they like to pet me and I don’t mind it a bit. My foster parents say I don’t have a nasty bone in my body. When we meet other dogs on my walks I don’t mind, but I like to stay close to my foster parents. I walk pretty good on the leash but I like to stop and smell the roses now and then, but sudden noises can startle me.

I’m happy in my kennel when I have to be alone in the house and I like to sleep in it at night. I could be a snuggly bug on the bed if you let me. I’m a bit nervous in the car but would probably get better with practice. I guess I’m not 100% house trained, but my foster parents make sure they take me out regularly, so I don’t have accidents in the house. I’ve never messed in my kennel. I know the word “out” and will follow you to the door. If you’re looking for a snuggly, loving, playful addition to your family, please choose me.
