If you love heroes, Spence is the dog for you. He spent his entire life confined to a 4 X 4 room in the basement of a multi-unit apartment building, never seeing the light of day, without bathroom breaks, daily walks, and very little human contact. Despite the neglect and isolation since the tender age of five weeks old, Spence holds no grudges against humans or other animals. He is gentle, happy and friendly with a very sweet disposition. For this reason, he is our hero. He enjoys walks on the Appalachian Trail and LOVES to roll around on his back to play! He is the perfect gentleman that loves his mid-day naps yet he's full of life!
