Armchair Kitty
Abby was found living with her kittens at an apartment complex where she’d likely been abandoned by an owner who couldn’t care for a pregnant cat. Coming from such a stressful environment, she was a bit of a “Crabby Abby” at first. Protecting her kittens was her number one concern. Once the kittens were all adopted, though, Abby settled into her foster home and soon earned a new nickname - “Armchair Kitty” - for her habit of companionably sitting next to a human on the arm of their chair.
Abby continues to delight with her quirks: drinking water from the tap, climbing into the wet bathtub after someone has showered and lapping up the leftover water, and instilling a healthy respect in the hearts of her foster family’s dogs.
Abby is a somewhat independent cat who enjoys human companionship the best. She’s not a lap cat, preferring to be an “Armchair Kitty” instead. She gets along OK with dogs and would probably do fine with other cats as long as they aren’t very young or rambunctious and the introduction is handled carefully.
Abby is happy, healthy, spayed, and current on her vaccinations. The only thing missing in her life is a loving, forever home. To learn more, call 972-671-0429 or email adopt@feralfriends.org.

Rescue Group Info...
Our mission is to assist the community to reduce feline overpopulation. We accomplish this mission with two programs.
Our adoption program called Rescue and Re-Home places cats and kittens for adoption into loving homes.
Our feral cat program called Race to Reduce Litters utilizes TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) to help control feral cat breeding and overpopulation. Cats are humanely trapped, sterilized and vaccinated against rabies and are returned to their original location where human caregivers provide food. Kittens from feral colonies are tamed and entered into our adoption program.
We hold our adoptions on Saturday's from 11-4. Our locations are PetSmart N. Dallas at 16821 Coit Rd.
Dallas, TX 75248 and PetSmart Rowlett at 5709 Liberty Grove, Rowlett, TX 75088.
We also hold adoptions during the week by appointment.
Our adoption fees are $105 for adults and $135 for kittens. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline AIDS and leukemia, microchipped and treated for parasites.
In addition, we offer a free 30 day pet health insurance policy.
We serve the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.
