My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hershey is a very special boy. He was saved by his vet when the "owners" brought him in to have him euthanized. The husband had been abusing him and was going to kill him if he wasn't out of the house asap. His vet knew what a good and sweet boy he is, so he refused to kill him.

He has been neutered, tested negative for heartworm and given all shots. He will be having behavior modification training. Because of the abuse, he shows some aggression when someone tries to take something away from him. Other than that, he is a sweet and loving boy....once he sees that you aren't going to hurt him. He wears a harness all the time because we think it makes him feel more comfortable. He will let you take it off to bath him, but then insists on it being put back on. He is very smart and often communicates the things he wants. When he has been through the program, we expect him to be ready to go to his new home. He needs a home full of love and patience to show him he is safe and loved.
