Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buckeye was a special plea from the Manhattan ACC to Anjellicle Cats Rescue. He was born around 5/8/11 and was in need of special medical care. He went straight from the ACC to our friends at Tenth Life/Animal General who performed an eye enucleation right away. The vet also thought that perhaps Buckeye had been hit by a car as his jaw was a little loose and his front leg looked like at one point it might have been fractured. This cat is very loveable and super friendly. Right away he purred and snuggled up to his foster mom and kept looking for pets. He is very thin as he must have been out on the streets for awhile but he's being well taken care of now and certainly will get a lot of love and food! Buckeye gets along fine with just one eye - he can jump without any problems and is a super special cat. He wants you to know his fur will grow back over his missing eye and he'll be the most handsome tux in town! He is all purrs and love and the sweetest cat you can imagine. It's heartbreaking to think about all he has been through and yet uplifting to see that despite all his troubles he remains a loving little creature. Buckeye loves to sleep near you,in the bed, on the couch, and he loves human contact. He also is fine with other cats and would be well suited in a home with a nice other cat or even as a single cat with an owner who can give him a lot of attention. As he starts to feel better we have noticed he is very curious and playful too. Come meet him! He is being fostered in the West 60s in Manhattan.
