TIA and TOPANGA's Story...
Hi, it’s us. . . Tia and Topanga!!    We are a bonded set of female Chihuahuas who will need to be adopted together.

We both weigh about 7 lbs each. We are approximately 5-6 years old and have been spayed, micro chipped and are up to date on all our shots, including rabies. We have been Heartworm tested - with a negative result!

We were strays taken to a shelter in Madison, Indiana. We are either mother and daughter or sister and sister.  We were transported from Indiana, to Cincinnati, to Beavercreek and then on to our foster home. We have had a lot of action in a little time and we are just now settling in nicely at our foster home.

We are very sweet little girls, but have that typical Chihuahua attitude and we will need a family who understands that and knows how to handle the little dog… BIG attitude!  Just like any dog, it takes a little time to get to know and trust you.  We get along with all the other dogs here at our foster home, but will give off a little growl if they get too much in our space. We are getting much better and showing signs of wanting to play with the others and are becoming more relaxed. We are not sure about cats, as we do not have any here at our foster home.

We are doing well on potty training and will potty every time we go out, but we will need continue help on our training. We seem to be crate trained (however we are not in a crate very often because our foster mom works from home).

Our foster mom says that we are very smart little girls who have become her shadows and give her kisses all day! Our foster mom works from home and we just lay in the doggie bed underneath her desk or on the couch in her office while she works all day, but of course if she gets up we are right behind her to follow. We do well in the car and we are learning how to walk on a leash and doing a great job.  We get to sleep in the BIG bed with our foster mom and all the other furkids here at the house now. We love to burrow under the covers and stay really warm.   We are learning how to play with toys and the other dogs here at the house.

We get along with everyone who comes in the door, but will give off a bark or two to let them know WE are here. (Due to their size PPR recommends that these two girls go to a home with older, or no, children).  We are not constant barkers, but will bark at the appropriate times.  Our foster mom thinks that we are great little girls and that our forever family will come along soon!

If you have double the room in your heart and your home for two little girls, please go to the applications page on our website, fill out, and submit an adoption application. Please follow up with an email to our foster mom letting her know you submitted an application.  Sometimes we have had applications go missing from the computer airwaves and we would hate to miss out on our forever home.

Until then. . .
Double the love and kisses, Tia and Topanga

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TIA and TOPANGA, a Beavercreek Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
