My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maya is a young beauty and what a great combination of breeds we think she is. Smart and affectionate, she wants to be next to her people just like a German Shepherd dog, but has the beautiful coat and coloring of a Golden Retriever, not to mention being laid back. We believe she is just over four months old as well.

Maya does well with other dogs as long as they are introduced properly - after all, she does need to check them out before she decides if they are worthy of being her friends. She would be good with respectful children too, of at least five years or older. And though we don't believe she would have an issue with cats, we have not yet tested her with them (if you have a cat, be sure to let us know). Maya has already proven she is good in a crate for travel and during the night. Though she is not used to being on lead, she is smart and is picking it up very quickly.
