Brutus is such a nice cat! He is about 4 years young and has plenty of love to give. He likes to sit on your lap and soak up your love, attention and cuddles. If he thinks you aren’t paying enough attention to him, he likes to walk across the keyboard to “help” you finish faster! He really enjoys human attention and will come to you when you call him and head butt your hand for pets. He is a pretty quiet cat; he does purr and occasionally meows for attention, but not too much or too loud. If you are busy, he isn’t overly demanding of your time and will go off and do his own thing, like have a catnip party…he loves his catnip! He likes being held over your shoulder and cuddled. He is a very clean and tidy cat who has perfect litter box use and is very neat with his litter. I think due to his personality he would be fine living in almost any household and could likely adapt to living with dogs, other cats and/or children with a proper introduction. I think that Brutus is a great cat who may be overlooked due to his age and basic tabby markings, but he is a real gem so please take the time to check him out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
