Hemi's Story...
Hemi - 20121586

My name is Hemi. I am a 1 yr old male coonhound mix and weigh 59#. My particular breed is sweet on kids, easy with other dogs and are sensitive and social dogs. I am a real people pleaser! I am very much a puppy still so I need some leash training, good chew toys and LOTS of exercise. I am housebroken and crate trained and because I am still a young guy I like to be in my crate when you're not home so I don't get into trouble. I know some commands already and like to play in the hose if you don't mind me getting wet. If you're an active family I think I could fit right in.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hemi, a Englewood Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Englewood, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Englewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Englewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Englewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Englewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
