Banana Split's Story...
hi, my name is Banana Split aka Glimmer. I'm a Golden Retriever mix who was born on 8/16/12. My foster family likes to call me Glimmer and says that I have the most beautiful green eyes and best personality. I have 6 brothers & sisters & each one of us looks different and are gorgeous.
I am a bundle of energy & love to explore the back yard with my foster brothers & sisters. I will be a smaller to medius size adult dog. I love to get belly rubs & give kisses. I get along great with the other foster dogs in my home as well as the children. I am crate/pen trained and am really working hard on housetraining, but I am young so it will take some time so I might still have some accidents every now and again. I do have cats in my foster home but they don't come around that much. Even though I love my foster family, I can't wait to find a family of my own. Is that you? Banana Split is microchipped, spayed & up to date on her shots & vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueahart.org if you'd like to meet her. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Banana Split, a Cincinnati Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
