Sweetie Bear's Story...
Meet Sweetie Bear. Sweetie and her sibling were pulled from a very high kill shelter in SE KY. Sweetie is such a doll and has your typical loving yet fiesty Yorkie attitude. She is approximately 8 weeks old and weighs around 2lbs. She has had her first set of vaccinations and been given dewormer and will not be available for adoption for at least another week when she has her second set of vaccinations. She would be an ideal family pet for a family with children who are over the age of 4 years of age.

FYI Sweetie will be adopted out with a mandatory spay/neuter contract stating that she will be spayed at 6 months of age (no exceptions) and that we will provided with proof that this was completed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweetie Bear, a Hazard Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon puppy from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
