Petunia's Story...
Please contact Kirk for more information about this pet.

Hi there, Petunia here...but a rose, er petunia, by any other name would smell as sweet.  Now what other dog do you know who can quote Shakespeare?!  I am an exuberant, loving girl about a year old.  I am still in my puppyhood, so I have a great zest for life.    I am very smart (as you can tell from my literary background) and I love people.  I want to have my own person and would do best in a home with no other dogs.  A yard to run in would be lovely because I have lots of energy.  As you can see from my picture, I love to get my tummy rubbed.  I'd probably do best with adults or older children (teens).  I'm sweet and I love to give kisses.  Come see me and I'll give you a kiss.  I want your attention (look at me, look at me), lots of love, and a forever home.  If you give me these things, I will give you lifelong love and devotion.  Who could want more?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petunia, a Gainesville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
