About Our Rescue Group...
HemoSolutions is an animal blood bank located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We have an all volunteer canine blood donation program. In addition, we have a feline colony, which consists of over 50 cats. They are adopted from local animal shelters, only when they are on the list to be euthanized. They are given a second chance through HemoSolutions and donate blood once every 3-4 weeks during their 18 month stay with us. After that 18 month stay, they are retired from the blood donor program and placed up for adoption. They currently live happily in various large rooms with windows, cat toys, horizontal spaces and lots of love. They are all very well socialized and will make a great addition to a family looking to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Giles, a Colorado Springs Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
