Brie's Story...
Hi! I am Brie. I am 4 months old and ready to find my forever family. I started life in a rough way. Someone left me by a kennel front door when I was 4 weeks old. The nice kennel lady took care of me. She made sure that I have all of my shots and she made sure that I don’t have babies of my own.

My foster mommy picked me up on Sunday. She took me to her home. I didn’t know what a home was. There were three dogs and a cat there. I play well with everyone but I can only play with one dog at a time. I get overwhelmed when all of the dogs are playing with me at the same time. I do really well in my crate. I am trying to figure out what being housebroken means. So far, I haven’t messed on the carpet but sometimes I do make a mess by the door. My foster mommy says I still get points for trying and getting close to pottying outdoors. She says that I have a cute tail. It has a little tuft of black fur just like an elephant’s. What’s an elephant?

I love tennis balls. I also like sitting in the pantry. With my tennis ball. This pantry is awesome because it has a lot of yummy food in there. My silly foster mommy says that I should get out because I wouldn’t want to be locked up in there. Silly mommy. I want to be locked in there. It’s the best place ever! I try to play with the cat but she doesn’t want to play. I don’t chase her. I just worship her from afar. Just the way she likes it.

I love to cuddle and nuzzle. If you let me put my chin on your shoulder you can hear me sigh with contentment. I am looking for a family that will teach me how to be a good dog. I know I have a lot to learn but I will give you love and devotion with all of my heart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brie, a Houston German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
