Tyco 4 1/2 lbs's Story...
WATCH MY VIDEO!
Meet Tyco! He is a tiny 2 to 3 year old male Chihuahua who weighs 4.9 lbs. Tyco was rescued after a good Samaritan witnessed Tyco being tossed out the window of a moving car. She found little Tyco hiding and shaking in some nearby bushes. Tyco is an extremely loyal boy and he would of followed whoever was trying to abandon him had they not sped away. We are guessing this is exactly why they choose this toss and speed away method of abandonment.

Tyco is a sweet lovable boy who will follow you around the house and wag his tail when he sees you. He gives gentle kisses, he loves belly rubs and he loves to cuddle in close to watch tv with his person. He loves to be held and loved on. Tyco loves having a person to trust and to call his own and he is devoted and bonded to that person. His house manners are wonderful and he is a calm easy boy. He is a quiet dog and is fully housebroken. Tyco will use our very large dog door to let himself out for potty breaks.

Tyco gets along great with other dogs both big and small and loves to cuddle with them. He loves car rides and going for walks. He also comes along with the big dogs when we go hiking. He trots along and proves his loyalty by staying right by my side. We think Tyco would be best suited for a home that already has another dog.

We are sure Tyco’s abuser was a male because Tyco is frightened of all males. He is not aggressive at all…just frightened and worried about his safety if a male enters the room. Because of this we feel its best for Tyco to go to a female only home with no children. We realize that even female only homes will have male visitors but at least Tyco can be put in a bedroom where he feels safe.

Tyco is neutered, microchipped, rabies, dewormed and up to date on his vaccinations. If you would like to meet Tyco please contact Theresa at treasuredtailsrescue@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999. About Our Rescue Group...

Welcome to Treasured Tails Canine Rescue. We are a volunteer based all breed dog rescue focusing on Riverside County and San Bernardino County animal shelters. The dogs we save from shelters are the ones in danger of euthanasia. Highly adoptable dogs lose their lives due to many reasons. Shelter over crowding, an easily treatable medical condition or injury, a dog who is extremely shy or frightened in the shelter environment or in many cases the dog is simply in need of a make over at the groomers. Once a dog enters our rescue he/she goes into a foster home where we can get to know that dog better which allows us to match the dog up with the right family. We do this for the love of dogs.

FOSTER HOMES ARE ALWAYS NEEDED! PLEASE CONTACT FOR FURTHER INFO ON BECOMING A FOSTER FOR OUR RESCUE.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process is as follows. An adoption application needs to be filled out so we know a little more about you and your home. This helps us match the right dog up with the right family. If it looks like a good match we will set up a time where the family can meet the dog and spend time together. It is required that all members of the household and their current dogs (if any) be present during the meet and greet. If things go well and the family decides to adopt, Treasured Tails will deliver dog to its new family on a day/time agreed upon by both parties.

Adoption fee is $200-$250 and that includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies. utd vaccinations and deworm.

An adoption contract must be signed by both parties upon adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyco 4 1/2 lbs, a Temecula Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Temecula, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Temecula.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Temecula already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Temecula breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Temecula paves the way for another one to be saved.
