Wink's Story...
Wink is around two years old (born early 2011 probably), and he is a very smart little boy. He has come a long way during his foster stay with us. He has learned to play with other dogs for one thing. At first he seemed to have no interest in other dogs. Now he often instigates play. He is house trained and pays close attention when being talked to about anything. He loves his toys and they have been a source of security to him as he learned he was no longer going to be neglected. He was obviously quite neglected and lonely during much of his early life. Now he is leaving that life behind and ready to move forward and become an active member of a family. He does not like being crated or confined so his new family should be prepared to allow him free run of the house. He does not chew up anything or hurt anything being left out. He would enjoy the company of another dog which is what he has here. He will be best with older children (13 or over), no little ones. He would be fine as an only dog too if he gets enough activity. He goes on two walks a day now. He is independent but at the same time loves attention. He has gradually come to like cuddling but he is not needy for it. We have seen him come out of his shell and bloom into a very sweet, smart, fun little guy.

About Our Rescue Group...
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
