ELLA's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

ELLA's Story...
ELLA is an eight year old pure bred female Weimaraner. Due to no fault of her own, her family circumstances have changed and she needs to find a new “forever home.” ELLA is a well behaved, even tempered dog who lives to play fetch. She also enjoys rooting through the forest on long walks. ELLA loves children and adults and gets along well with other dogs. She listens well and will tolerate cats though she would prefer to chase them. Like most Weimaraners, she does not care for loud noises and chaos; but to her credit she has a very mellow and even temperament. She has had obedience training and this reflects in her willingness to please. ELLA is a high energy dog and in excellent health and physical condition. She will need plenty of exercise and room to run. She will make a great companion dog and loves to take road trips. If you are interested in meeting ELLA or have any additional questions, please contact the Humane Society of Oldham County’s dog adoption coordinator, Lisanne, at 795-7151 or email to lisannehsoc@att.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ELLA, a LaGrange Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
