Richie's Story...
02/21/2012 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Richie has such an endearing and worried little face. He is so patient in his kennel, waiting for his turn to go for a walk. He has the greatest chocolate color, beautiful golden eyes and the most delicious pout. He is so gorgeous and healthy looking in his flawless coat. Richie is excellent on the leash and might be housetrained. He is a young boy who meets in a nice way with the other dogs we met on our walk. He can sit on command and poses for picture taking. Richie shows his tender side as we sit on the bench. He is very much a lap dog and a kisser. One can see that he is still very young at 11 months of age. He just behaved like a gentle and needy puppy. Richie is at the Manhattan Care Center. What a great companion he will be, given a chance to meet you.

He was saved from death row at NYCACC and is in urgent need of a foster/adopter now!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Richie, a Whitestone American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Whitestone, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Whitestone.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Whitestone already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Whitestone breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Whitestone paves the way for another one to be saved.
