Lefty's Story...
Lefty is one special guy in search of someone to foster or adopt him. Lefty is a year and a half old and 55lbs of loving. His front right toes are missing pads, but that won't stop him from hopping around and rolling on his back for pets and kisses. Lefty once had a family that gave him up due to allergies. He's lived with children, cats and dogs. A volunteer wrote:

."It's your lucky day, bu
ddy," I said to him, I guess because he was going to be my first dog out? He had a clean kennel, and I figured he was holding it to relieve himself, an
d he did as soon as we got outside. I wasn't sure what his limits were, due to his leg. In a matter of no time, I realized the sky is the limit for this dog! Four paws???? Forget it! 3 1/2 legs are the new four! You'd have thought he had five legs the way he gets around! When he walks it looks like his 1/2 leg is waiving at whoever is oncoming! It's the cutest thing in the world! When we went to the cuddle spot, he mushed all over me. Climbed in my lap, wanted lots of petting! I DREADED taking him back inside. I wanted to play with him all day! So I made a promise, "Once I get all of the other dogs out, I'll come back for you again." Every time I walked by his kennel, he looked at me, like, don't forget our promise! Each dog I walked, I knew I was one dog closer to spending time with Lefty. Well, some really tough things happened at the ACC today, and there were times when I wanted to cry and leave, but I kept thinking about Lefty. He was my savior. After 7 1/2 hours of walking, I finally got my reward! AND it was worth all of the sweat and tears. I can’t put into words the feeling I get when I am with Lefty. It’s pure, unadulterated joy. I know I sound crazy, but you’ll have to meet him to see what I mean. Please save Lefty!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, individual, private rescue group dedicated to giving unwanted dogs and cats a second chance. Most of the animals we rescue are strays and or owner surrenders to high kill city shelters. Many of them have been pulled off “death row”. We are very passionate about what we do, we love and care for these animals unconditionally. Our goal is to place our homeless rescues in permanent loving homes as their former owners have already abandoned them at least once before.

Adoption process includes adoption application, phone interview and home visit. Vet references are checked!

Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a physical shelter, we place our rescues in foster homes or boarding facilities where they are socialized and nurtured back to health before we place them in their forever home. If you are interested in adopting a friend, kindly look at our available pet on this site.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption/Foster Application must be completed online via the link below.

Home visit is required along with Vet references. Our full list of fees have been listed on the adoption application. Our dogs come fully vetted and have to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Our rescue has a network of volunteers that cover most of NY and the tri-state area. We rescue dogs and cats from "Death Row" at the local shelters and provide them with a Second Chance in life.
