VALENCIA's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS VALENCIA....a happy go lucky, sweetheart of a 20 lb, 2 yr old, white and tan Lhasa X....not exactly sure what she is mixed with! Whatever it is, Valencia has a soft coat and a gentle personality -- except when she is playing!! She LOVES to play, and she will even get dogs who haven't played in a while to roll around and take action! These pictures do her no justice....she really is a doll. Valencia is one of those dogs who just loves to please. We have no idea why she was dumped in the shelter.... except for the fact that there are a lot of these small, beautiful darlings dumped in Devore. She will bark to alert, afer all, that's her job...and she loves to snuggle and cuddle with you. She is definitely a kisser, so if you don't like kisses, you won't like Valencia!! And toys....wow, does she love to play with toys!! This little girl has the best personality....she will run around and play with other dogs....and then settle down by your feet and watch TV with you! She is trained to go on pp pads...but likely will be easy to potty train, as she aims to make you happy. She is interested in cats, and probably could be trained to co-exist. She is great on a leash, she's even great with kids over 5 yrs old..... and she MUST have a playful canine to live with. Valencia is a great family dog!! She will make your heart, your dog and your family very happy!!!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 11a-3:30pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

VALENCIA, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
