My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/30/13 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $300

Fostered in Louisiana

Age: 7 years

Weight: 9.8 lbs.

11/30/12 - Chewy went to the vet yesterday and had her cherry eye tacked down and her teeth cleaned. Here’s the excellent news..... DRUM ROLL PLEASE...... She lost 8 ounces. She still has a long way to go, but we are making Jenny Craig proud. The vet saw tiny formation of struvite crystals in her urine, so we have started her on Royal Canine S/O as a precautionary measure. She likes the new food just fine with her green beans added in. Basically Chewy is fully vetted now and all we need to focus on currently is her potty training and her diet. It will take a little while for her to get her body where she’ll have her own commercial, but we are determined to see some yorkie curves in this sweet little girl.

11/16/12 - My name is Chewy and along with being the most recent spokesperson for JENNY CRAIG, I am the newest rescue pup at YHR. Seems I have been living up to my name in the eating department. Hopefully, you'll be seeing a lot "less" of me in the weeks and months to come.

I entered YHR because my mom and dad already had two 2 leggers and there was another on the way. They loved me very much, but knew it was better for me to go somewhere that I could be the center of attention.

When I got to my foster home, we went to that vet person and the first thing she said was that I needed to loose at least 2-3 lbs. I don't know if you are a human woman or a canine woman, but those are fighting words. I thought I was just holding alot of water weight. Seems I just like to eat. So now I'm on the "d" word.... DIET!!!!

Everyone said that this would be much better for me and I would be a much healthier version of myself once the pounds start to come off. There is a cute male Shih-tzu in my foster home that I might want to catch the eye of once I'm less rotund.

I seem to do ok with other pups, but sometimes I do snap at the other pup in the home. We think it is because I have only been in my foster home for one week and am still trying to adjust and now I’m getting less food. A girl can only take so much change. Ugh!

Anyway, I am a sweetheart of a gal who just adores her people and loves to give kisses. I am adjusting and some nights I sleep with my foster mom and some nights I sleep in a little cubby hole to feel safe. Things will come around and I’ll be acting spoiled rotten and demanding in no time.

If you are interested in a full figured yorkie that is on her way to a sexy, curvy yorkshire terrier, please fill out an application and let my foster mom know what you have to offer me. But it can’t be table scraps. LOL
