Cita's Story...
Meet Cita! A 100% Mexican Mutt!! (The breeds selected are only our best guess.)

Cita loves to play with all kind of dogs and she's even ok around kids & cats!

Cita came to us as an orphaned puppy. Her awesome foster parents in Mexico made sure she was properly fed & socialized. Cita is now approx 4 months old and ready to find her forever home.

** The Penny Foundation receives many adoption applications for puppies. We always look for the best possible match for the dog and put the dog's needs before the adopter's preferences. If you apply for a certain dog but we feel a different applicant's home is best suited for that dog this doesn't mean you wouldn't provide a loving forever home for a rescued dog. We are happy to work with you to find a great dog that will better suit you and your situation. Our volunteers can still perform your home check and if approved you will be considered pre-approved and the next dog that that matches your situation can be placed with you immediately. **

Cita is already spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm preventative.

If you would like to meet Cita please fill out an adoption application at, www.penniesfordogs.org/adoption_application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cita, a Vancouver Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer puppy from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
