Mollie's Story...
Meet Mollie! A 100% Mexican Mutt!! (The breeds selected are only our best guess.)

Mollie loves to play with all kind of dogs and she's even ok around kids & cats!

Mollie came to us as an orphaned puppy. Her awesome foster parents in Mexico made sure she was properly fed & socialized. Mollie is now approx 4 months old and ready to find her forever home.

** The Penny Foundation receives many adoption applications for puppies. We always look for the best possible match for the dog and put the dog's needs before the adopter's preferences. If you apply for a certain dog but we feel a different applicant's home is best suited for that dog this doesn't mean you wouldn't provide a loving forever home for a rescued dog. We are happy to work with you to find a great dog that will better suit you and your situation. Our volunteers can still perform your home check and if approved you will be considered pre-approved and the next dog that that matches your situation can be placed with you immediately. **

Mollie is already spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm preventative.

If you would like to meet Mollie please fill out an adoption application at, www.penniesfordogs.org/adoption_application.html

If your computer does not have a default mail program you can download the application in Word by clicking on, "this version", and email it to, Adopt@PenniesForDogs.org.

If you experience any technical difficulties sending us your application please email, Adopt@PenniesForDogs.org and we will send you our application in Word format.

About Our Rescue Group...
"Science may never comprehend the full extent of what dogs know about language, problem solving, the past, the future, God, time or philosophy. In the end, we must content ourselves with the fact that dogs know enough to be dogs -which is all that is really required of them." - Dr. Stanley Coren

Regardless of where a dog comes from, their lives are worth saving, their "issues" are trainable, and people really can learn new tricks.

So whether it's from us or another rescue or shelter, Adopt Don't Shop! You can save a life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mollie, a Vancouver Dachshund/German Shorthaired Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Dachshund/German Shorthaired Pointer puppy from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Dachshund/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
