Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello World,
My name is Jack and I’m a VERY handsome little bichon boy of six who is a little shy, then playful – yet also pretty mellow. Mom says I’m most comfortable in a calm and quiet environment. (I’m not sure what that means but I think it means where there’s not a lot of noise or confusion). And when it’s peaceful and quiet I actually breathe a sigh of relief – then I can relax and be myself.
You see I have only recently become a furkid. My other Mom and Dad had to move -- and couldn’t take me with them. It made all of us very sad! Before they moved, though, they stopped walking and playing with me – and that made me even more sad! I knew some things were changing – but I didn’t know that everything was changing. Then Mom and Dad told me I had to be a brave boy -- and they left.
My Aunties at BFK took me in -- and told me not to worry. That said I would be safe and loved once again. They understood that I was timid and scared – but promised they would help me feel comfortable again. My doggy foster brothers were, and are, a big help, too. We play games like throw-the-ball-in-the-air and tug-of-war and we chase the ball. I like to play chase! And be chased! Sometimes I even run around pretending someone is chasing me when they’re not. I also like to take walks and rides in the car. I like to do all those things and my routine makes me feel safe again.
When people see me they always talk about how handsome I am -- and want to touch me. That’s hard for a little guy who is basically shy. But when I’m comfortable I’m a major cuddler and snuggler. Mom says she loves the way I lie quietly and contentedly next to her while she works on her computer or stops to read a book. And she says to tell you I am very smart. Why I’m housebroken (so I get to sleep in the Big People’s Bed and I know commands like sit and come already.
What I’m missing is my very own forever family who will love me and care for me always. I would love to have at least one doggy foster brother or sister-- and a calm and mellow environment. If that sounds like you please complete our adoption application as I’d love for us to meet.
Love and tail wags,
Jumping-for-Joy Jack
