Memphis's Story...
This is Memphis! Memphis is from the high kill shelter in Yuma. He is a small chihuahua boy who loves to snuggle, but he still very shy and timid. He is about four years old, but still has that little puppy face! He recently underwent surgery for a growth removal on his back and had some teeth removed due to extreme neglect. He is recovering very well and just loves to eat his favorite wet food.

Memphis will need someone who is kind and patient as he becomes scared easily. It is clear that he never really been shown true love and care. That has all changed now that he with AZ Happy Tails. He will just need time to warm up to his surroundings. A quiet household would be the best placement for Memphis.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. In July of 2009 we joined together with fellow rescuers on a mission to save a pack of about 30 dogs from the Fort McDowell Casino area and by the end of the year we had rescued over 80 dogs from there! AZ Happy Tails is committed to the rescue and placement of stray, abandoned, and e-listed animals as well. We think all pets deserve caring and compassionate homes, and the chance to live healthy, happy lives in safe environments. We strive to educate and raise awareness of the importance of animal respect and appreciation.

If you are interested in adopting a pet from us please contact us via e-mail. We will get you our adoption questionnaire to fill out an return for our review. We will then do a meet and greet with the pet including a visit to your home to make sure the pet feels comfortable and is in a safe environment!
