Important Note

Skeeter is best friends with Chico. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Skeeter and Chico are GOOD BUDDIES... and though they lost the home they had known since they were puppies we would LOVE to see them be adopted together. They are great little souls so this ISN'T a total deal breaker, but when you meet the one you will see how awesome they are together. They are REALLY good little pets, and will be the loves of your life AND what we plan for is that they will be the center of someone's PET WORLD! They really deserve it, Skeeter and Chico are great guys, alone OR together and WE are hopeful of them happy FOREVER in a wonderful LOVING home!
Chihuahua Rescue says: Skeeter was in a home for three years along with Chico, Unfortunately his person became ill and it necessitated Skeeter, Chico and another pet being rehomed, But this guy and Chico are used to each other. They are in a great foster home but we are praying for a speedy adoption as the foster home is not available much longer. Skeeter is challenging with house training, but not impossible, his foster has been doing a great job with him, He has been on terrific food, He is also very sweet. He weighs about 10# and is about 5 years old, The adoption fee for both dogs is $400

About Chihuahua Rescue Indiana- Indianapolis Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. We believe that every Chihuahua deserves a loving home.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Donations are up to the individual and are made to a not for profit organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at local Petsmarts, Pet Supply Plus, and Petcos. The dates are fluid and they do coincide with the nationally advertised adoption events at the locales.

Our Adoption Process...

**If you are unable to pay the adoption fee, we are unable to place a dog in your care. Being unable to meet the financial obligations of pet care (recurrent or emergent) is one of many reasons why so many of these pets end up in rescue. It's not lack of love.**
We require an adoption inquiry, and then we will check references. We also check with vets. If the person is not LOCAL then we will partner with a local animal control or Humane Society to do a home visit and give us the go ahead to adopt.
There are adoption fees associated with the costs of veterinary care of the pet. We require an adoption contract to be signed to finalize the adoption process and we have an agreement that all our pets are to be Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. pets for LIFE. In other words, in the event that they can not stay in their adoptive home they are not to be surrendered to another individual or rescue.
