Chevron's Story...
Meet Chevron, a beautiful long-legged 3 yr old, 10 lb Basenji/Chihuahua mix. She has high energy and lots of love to give to some lucky family. Chevron loves to run like the wind. She is fast and light on her feet (her foster mom calls her a Ninja). She is totally potty trained and loves to go for walks. She loves to sit on the couch and cuddle. She would do best in a home with someone who is home most of the time since she definitely bonds with her human family and prefers to have someone around. She also gets along well with other dogs and loves to run and play with them. She sleeps in her own bed but would love to snuggle in bed if that is what her new family would like. If you would like to meet Chevron, please check out our website at www.RescueAChi.com for our adoption events schedule or fill out an application if you are interested in adopting Chevron.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chevron, a San Diego Basenji/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji/Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Basenji/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji/Chihuahua breeders who help with Basenji/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
