Benjamin's Story...
Hi, my name is Benjamin and I am really glad to be in the situation where someone scooped me up and is trying to help me because even though this kennel is small, it beats being dropped off and suddenly expected to be on my own "out there". I was so confused, then frightened, then terribly hungry and lonely -- but now I'm safe and confident that the stars will line up in my favor and I will find my forever home with someone who won't ever abandon me again. I'm sorry I don't like dogs -- I can't remember why but I know they were part of that bad experience I'm leaving behind. All this sadness did not break my spirit and my purr motor still works splendidly. Will you be my lap of luxury?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benjamin, a Walnut Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Walnut, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Walnut.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut paves the way for another one to be saved.
