Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a sweet little girl with a big personality. She likes to tease her much larger foster brother by jumping at him and batting at him like a cat. She loves to run and wants someone to chase her. She's not in love with her crate; sometime she needs to be picked up and brought to it before she has time to hide. But she sleeps in it every night without crying. She's working on her house manners - she's learning she doesn't need to constantly jump to get attention. She loves to snuggle on the couch and watch tv in the evenings. The vet says she's 10-11 months old and 23 pounds and fully grown. She's got lots of energy and loves being the center of attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Warren Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Warren, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
