Toby's Story...
Toby (named for October Sunrise) is a ten week old orange tabby male with medium length hair and a fine tail in progress. He is a wonderful, happy kitten who approaches each corner as if there is something terrific around the corner. His tail bends forward in anticipation and rises straight up when his questions are answered. He gets along beautifully with adult cats, loves to be held on laps, and enjoys romping with whatever kitten is available. He is available for adoption now and is current in his shots.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask for Andrea’s boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
