Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Laker is a quiet handsome boy that is 2-3 years old. He is a beagle/basset mix who came to us from a Michigan rescue. All signs point to him being part of a pack with very little human contact! He’s very curious and loving.
Laker gets along GREAT with other dogs and will take his lead from any dog that wants to show him the way. He is definitely a follower. With humans, Laker is very shy. While he wags his tail, it took him a few days to warm up to the humans in the house. Laker is hesitant to get near any human company that comes over that he doesn't know - he is by no means aggressive!! He’s just not sure what to do with humans J.
He LOVES to go outside and explore the yard and chase the squirrels. Laker gets a lot of energy out while running in the yard. In the house, he's on the low energy side. Laker likes to play with the other dog in the house but will not initiate. He also likes to lie quietly and chew a toy while in the house.
After a couple of weeks in the house, Laker turned into a real lover. He loves lap time and being pet. He is potty trained and sleeps in a crate at night. Laker hates to be alone so we think he would do best in a quiet home with at least one other dog.
Laker needs a home with a very loving, nurturing and patient family. Once you get to know him, he will steal your heart!
