Pita's Story...
Pita is a darling, goofy and sweet little girl! She was brought into the county shelter as a stray, and was scheduled to be euthanized because she caught a cold there. We are sooooo glad that did not happen, because she is a joy to be around! Pita loves everyone! She is crate-trained and house-trained. She loves playing with her doggy friends and is good with kids too! She is about 40 lbs and under a year old. She is some kind of a hound mix and probably Labrador retriever too. Pita will make a wonderful addition to a loving home! Pita's adoption fee is $175 and that includes spay, DAPP & rabies vaccinations and license. If you are interested in meeting Pita, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pita, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever/Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Coonhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
