My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we first met this lovely girl, we simply couldn't understand how she could have come to be homeless. But we eventually discovered that she had been left behind in an area where people move in and out frequently and don’t always leave a forwarding address.

Qupid’s first stop was at our vet for a complete checkup and then she went to stay in our foster home while we attempted to locate her former family. After a month of unsuccessful searching, we are ready to find Qupid’s next family, which will be hers forever.

From our vet we learned that Qupid was born in July 2012, has some Himalayan genes in her background, and is in excellent health. From her foster mom, we learned that Qupid loves everybody she meets. She gives hugs, kisses, head butts, and drools when at her happiest. Her ideal family will want to share lots of time with Qupid, and she will expect to share their bed. She happily mingles with cats of all ages, and would like her new family to include another friendly kitten or cat, lots of toys, and windows with good viewing of the great outdoors. With a gradual introduction, Qupid should get along with dogs, as she does with the cat-savvy big black dog who shares her foster home.

Qupid uses her scratching post appropriately, has perfect grooming and litter box habits, and is patient for nail trims. She has no special dietary needs, other than the high quality kibble and canned food we recommend for all our cats and kittens. Qupid is learning that tables and counters are off-limits.

Qupid has been spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $100.

If you are interested in meeting Qupid, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
