Paz is a happy, outgoing girl who loves to play! She enjoys a good snuggle now and then but is NOT a couch. She loves everyone she meets - human and canine. We haven't introduced her to any cats yet but she'd probably want to play with them too. Paz is crate trained and working on housebreaking. She was born with a deformed front paw but that doesn't slow her down - she's even been known to jump over the baby gate at her foster's house :-) The vet says she isn't in any pain and she shouldn't need any additional medical care because of it.
$125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, and heartworm and flea preventatives while the dog is in our care PLUS a free new-pet checkup at South Gessner Pet Clinic!

Mutts & Meows Animal Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Sugar Land (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs and cats in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fees ($125 for dogs, $85 for cats) include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, FEV/FELV tests for cats, and heartworm tests for dogs.
Meet our adoptable pets most weekends at one of the locations below. If there's a specific pet you're coming to see, please email (MuttsAndMeows@live.com) the day before or call the store DURING ADOPTION TIMES ONLY and ask to speak to a volunteer. Please do not call the store outside of our regular adoption hours. The pets live in foster homes during the week so the store employees do not know which pets will be there that weekend.

1. Look at our wonderful dogs and cats. Try to pick just one or two you'd like to meet.
2. Email us to request an Adoption Application. We'll reply within 24 hrs.
3. Complete the application and email it back to us.
4. Our Adoption Counselors will review your application and get back to you within 24 hrs. We reserve the right to decline any application. A home visit may be required.
5. If you're approved, we'll set up a time for you to meet the pet at a location that's convenient for you and the foster. (All our pets live in foster homes around the city. We are not a public shelter.)
