Meow! My name is Stripes & Smokey
Stripes & Smokey's Info...
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Brown Tabby||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
Stripes is a 6 yr old neutered tabby and white male with beautiful dark striping. He was at Vermilion County Animal Control along with his best friend, Smokey back in 2007 as an owner given up before PACT rescued them. They were adopted out together in December 2008. Recently PACT welcome them back, when their family could no longer keep them.
These bonded brothers were recently returned from their long-term home because of the bad economy. But one thing you can say about Smokey, a fluffy grey DLH, and Stripes, an energetic tabby, is that their spirits are rarely low. Between the immense pleasure they get from being brushed and the keen interest they show in nearby people, you are truly getting two new family members when you take home these 6 & 8 year old companions. They are great with children and easy-going around practically all other animals.
Please note that PACT does not 'reserve' cats or kittens.

Rescue Group Info...
People and Animals in Community Together Humane Society (PACT) is a no-kill, not-for-profit, and all volunteer animal shelter and educational organization. We were established in April of 2000 in Downers Grove, Illinois.
PACT Humane Society is staffed by volunteers who serve in many different capacities including daily animal care providers (cleaning and socialization), adoption counselors, management team members, program coordinators, and advisers.
To date we have adopted out over 4,750 cats and dogs in our 12 year history.
We are no-kill, only euthanizing animals in advanced stages of cancer or liver disease, or an untreatable illness, where there is no quality of life or hope of recovery.
We have rescued thousands of animals from animal control facilities where they would have been euthanized within a matter of days.
We rescue older animals and "less-than-perfect" ones, such as dogs with heartworm, and cats with FIV or diabetes, cats missing tails, eyes or legs.
PACT's Bloomingdale Adoption Center is located inside Petco at 412 W. Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale, Illinois. While we have a wonderful Adoption Center that houses up to 13 dogs and 26 cats. We have some animals live in foster homes until space or adoption opportunities become available.
