Eva's Story...
Eva is a 3 year old female light-brown colored Pit Bull Terrier mixed with perhaps some lab or other breed. We adopted out Eva about 2 years ago, but her home was unable to keep her, so she’s back with us. Her owners moved into a different house, and Eva for some reason was allergic to something in that house. She’s doing great in our Shelter and we think it was a fluke of some sort that she showed signs of allergies in the new home.

Eva is a very soft-spoken gal and is not a heavy barker. She weighs about 45 pounds. Eva lived with another dog in her prior home and has done well with humans and other animals alike. She was also housetrained in her prior home Eva was a housepet and will not be adopted as an outdoor dog nor as a guard dog. Her adoption fee is $75. We utilize a short adoption application form to assess compatibility between dogs and their prospective homes. This form is a simple one-sided Microsoft Word document and it can be e-mailed to you upon request. If you would like to receive the form via e-mail, or if you have any other questions, please send us an e-mail message.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eva, a Austin Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
