Arrival story: Nemo and his sister and brother came from a rural shelter where they would have little chance of being adopted.

Personality: He's a puppy so he's full of kisses and energy!

Forever home: Young puppies can thrive in almost any situation, with the right guidance. What they need most of all is a family willing to put in the work and time to help them grow up, and to commit to caring for them their whole lives. Please remember, puppies don’t magically become well-behaved, well-adjusted adult dogs. It takes work and commitment on the part of their human family. They need to be taught where to potty, how to greet friends and strangers, and basic obedience. They need to be given lots of exposure to new people and situations to ensure that they are well socialized and confident.

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nemo, a Northville Labrador Retriever/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Northville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
