Alice's Story...
Alice is a stunning 1 year old gal. She has the most incredible dark red brindle coat. She is very well behaved and a love. She deserves to find a home of her own. Here is a message from her foster dad. "Alice is a great dog! She loves to cuddle and play. She has picked up some commands including "sit", "down", and "kennel up" which she'll do even in the middle of play. Alice touches her nose to the outside door knobs if she needs to go outside.

She really likes the snow, car rides, chasing laser pointers, and trips to petsmart. Over the holidays she was around plenty of people, kids, and dogs and was excellent! She sleeps in her kennel at night and doesn't make noise until you get up." Please contact us at Digsk9@gmail.com if you are interested in Alice

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and providing sanctuary to abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We are not a shelter as all of our rescued dogs live in foster homes where they are given enourmous amounts of love and attention while they await their forever home. Many animals are overlooked or forgotten and our goal is to give them a second chance on life and home to be loved in.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process is quite simple. We ask that you complete an application on our website DigsK9.org. We are a foster based organization so special arrangements can be made for you to meet the animal you are applying for. After review of your application we will follow up with either a phone interview or a home visit. If everyone agrees that this would be a successful adoption than we make plans to finalize it.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are based in the Chicago-land area but are happy to accept applications from all states.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alice, a Joliet Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever for sale in Joliet, or seeking a Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
