Belle's Story...
Just call me "Belle", AKA Southern Belle! A nice lady came all the way to Middle Tennessee to pick me up at a shelter where my time was up. I am what you all refer to a golden "deceiver", or a golden mix. My foster mom thinks I am the best girl in the world. She keeps asking me if I am really 8 years old because I don't act it. I do have a lot of energy for a "senior dog". I love to chase balls, play with my foster siblings (small dog and cat) and love to go on outings to Petsmart! Oh, and I love attention from people. But I really like to be the center of attention - I mean I am a Southern Belle - kind of like Scarlett O'Hara! She always wanted to be the center of attention too, right. I don't have messes in the house, I do not slobber when I eat my meals and I always say thank you and please! Oh, did I mention I am a healthy girl too! So if you are looking for a southern, sweet gentile girl, that's me!

NOTE: Adopt A Golden Knoxville rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area. These dogs are fostered in private homes in East Tennessee. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups prior to their adoption. They are brought up north on a USDA transporter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Belle, a Brattleboro Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
