Blue is a great boy and will make anyone a great family companion! He is only about a year and a half old and is about 60 pounds. He is fun loving playful guy yet calm and sweet! Blue is easy going and loves everyone including cats, dogs, and chickens! All he wants is a home for the holidays! Please consider adopting Blue and giving him a loving forever home!!!

Welcome Friends! The Animal Center ("The Center") is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping animals. Our goal is to help end companion animal homelessness and prevent cruelty to animals in Newtown and the broader Connecticut community by providing services that foster the bond between humans and animals.We also pull many dogs from high kill shelters in Georgia. We are a foster only organization so in order to visit any dog, an appointment must be made.
The Animal Center runs its rescue programs entirely through a volunteer foster network. We do not have a shelter. This means we don't have a central location where all our adoptable animals are kept, nor do we have viewing "hours" because our adoptable animals are in the safety and comfort of private homes, not in a shelter facility.
To adopt, please fill out our adoption form on the website for the animal you're interested in. When we receive your form, our volunteers will contact you to set up a day and time that works for you to meet the cat or dog you're interested in.
Adoption Includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, microchipping and deworming. Adoption fee varies dog to dog staring around $250 for an adult dog and $350 for a puppy.
