Sweet Melissa's Story...
Melissa is a very sweet and playful kitty. She loves to be pet and loves to cuddle and purr.
We found Melissa this summer in the front yard of our neighbor's house - she was lying on the ground with her two newborn kittens. She was so small and skinny - almost a kitten herself. When we took her and kittens in Melissa was so happy and grateful!

Melissa was a dedicated mother and took very good care of her kittens. Very nice people adopted both kittens and now Melissa is ready to find her own forever home.

Melissa has a very gentle and loving personality. She is a small kitty with a round baby face. She loves playing with her toys, especially the ones hanging on string! She loves attention and always lies down next to you and purrs, purrs...

Melissa is in excellent health, has all her shots up to date, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, worm and flea free.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Melissa, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
